Perspective and Opinions
WALT: I will read across texts and media to form my own opinion.
For the past two weeks we have been giving our own Opinions and Perspective. This article was about a lady stealing $4000 from a rugby club. We then had to make a short video, based on our own opinions about Louise.

Letter to the Pak n Save Manager of Glen Innes
Samoa and Kerstein
130 Point England Road
Glen Innes
Auckland 1072
19th March 2018 Monday
Dear, Manager of glen Innes Pak N Save.
Malo e lelei Manager of Glen Innes Pak N Save,
Our name are Samoa and Kerstein we are both year 8 students at Pt England School. We are very excited to be writing this letter to you. we are writing this letter to let you know that you should think about getting rid of your plastic bags. Kerstein and I have a lot of reasons on why you should get rid of plastic bag, and why we think it is bad for our environment.
Why is it bad to have plastic bags in our environment? Yes why? Well one of our first reasons on why you should consider getting rid of you plastic bags is because plastic bags do not just pollute, but they also affect our water in this land. You might have noticed that plastic bags are not heavy, but they are lightweight so they can float anywhere in the world, which is not good. These plastic can also end up in the trees, fences and also the river!
The second reason why you should get rid of plastic bags is because it is not that easy to recycle. The reason why it is not easy to recycle plastic bags is like, what we just said in our first reason, because it is not heavy but they are lightweight, so they can travel anyway in the world. You never know where the paper might end up, it could end up in the river if you don’t recycle them. Fun fact, the recycling rate for the plastic bags is around 5%.
Last but not least our last reason on why you should ban plastic bags in your store is because, plastic bags are everywhere. For an example your walking to school and you see a bunch on plastic bags, just sitting there floating everywhere. If every store in New Zealand banned plastic bags, then we think it is easier for you managers, because plastic bags are not for free, so you will have to pay for it. If you banned having plastic bags in your stores then you wouldn’t have to worry about getting plastic bags every time you run out.
It has now come to an end to our letter, we are both glad to be writing this letter to the manager of Pak n Save. Kerstein and I have enjoyed writing this letter to you. We hope that our reasons to you were clear for you to read it, and possibly considering to banning the plastic bags.

Visual Mihi
As you can see this is my Visual Mihi, on the top left corner I am proud of who I am, and I am proud to be a Tongan. Next on the Right corner is my family, family is everything to me. And on top of Family, it shows that I love Music. In the bottom left corner is my bible and a little verse that I love reading. It says, "For I know the plans I have for you, Declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"Jeremiah 29:11. Last of all in the right bottom it shows that I am a storms supporter. Hope you like my visual mihi.

What it means to be a good role model?
Have you ever been recognised by someone as being a good role model? Or maybe you had someone in your life who has taught you how to become a really good role model? If you have absolutely no idea what i’m talking about, then follow my steps on how to become a good role model!
Well, being a good role model is someone who is always Confident in themselves and always positive. You wouldn’t want someone who always tries to put you down. For an example my friend Sabrina. She is always there for me even when i’m feeling sad. But most of the times she is always Encouraging me to do my personal best! Sabrina does anything to make me have a smile on my face everyday. A really good role model is somebody who is always there by your side even when things gets tough. And That is what a good role model should look like!
Another way to be a good role model is to always show respect to people around you. If your not showing respect then that’s just telling people that can not handle being a good role model. If you're stuck with an equation, but your teacher is talking to another student. What should you do? First you should wait for their conversation to finish and then you may ask your teacher for help. Treat others as you wanted to be treated! That is another way to be a good role model!
What I was trying to tell you is that a role model is somebody you would look up to forever. if you didn’t understand what I was trying to say then maybe read one more time to get the idea. And there you have it if you have followed my steps on how to become a good role model, then maybe one day you will be recognised a one.

Basketball shelter plan
Hi today I was just working on our sketch for our basketball shelter plan first we thought of a ordinary shelter but…. We thought bigger and are trying to make a movable shelter for the weather. For an example if it is raining you can pull it over and if it’s a beautiful day than
Back here is a bird's eye view.
Today I did a hyperstudio example drawing of the school basketball court with our design attached to it. For a design we are making a basketball shelter so while it rains students of pt england can still enjoy playing.
This is just an update about our basketball shelter. Today my group and I met with Mrs Tele’a to tell her what our group is called. And it’s call Technofreez, we also told her what we are doing and what material we need to make a basketball shelter. My group and I are very confident about our project.

One of the old chrome book were, prod casting, Wireless connections, Samsung netbooks, then we upgraded to a, Acer C7, Acer C730, But their is other which I cannot remember. So Team 5 are learning about, How to build things between Pt England School. Favourite Pastime
Wait, wait, wait don’t scroll yet. What is your favourite pastime? What is one thing you loved to do, that has already happened. It is something you love to do in your spare time like, watching netflix while having a good laugh watching movies. Well you have come to the right person, I will be talking to you readers about what I loved to do in the past. So my favourite pastime is getting prepared for my aunt's restaurant that has just opened up last week on Monday. I was really looking forward to seeing customers coming in to sell some islander food.
Well My favourite past time is getting prepared for my family resturant. And it was pretty exciting preparing things for my families restaurant. The name of the restaurant is called, Melina Kitchen. Yesterday was a very busy day for us because, it was their first time opening the restaurant. I was really proud of my aunties even though they tell me to go to the back room, I would always eat the food that would be at the back.
You are probably wondering why am I talking about getting ready for my families Restaurant. And part of that is getting to spend heaps of time with my families and my aunties and uncles, and also my cousin’s. The reason why I am talking to you readers about getting prepared is because sometimes me and my aunties and mum don’t really get to spend some times together, and part of talking about it is because I get to spend some times with my families and also my cousin’s.
I have really enjoyed helping out with my cousin’s and aunties. And also seeing people coming in to order or even buy some food. One of my favourite things to do there is too serve customers. So I have a question for you, What is your favourite Pastime?
