Applying for Ambassadors

In Writing, I have learnt that I can put capital letter,Punctuation and the most important thing Full stop. In Reading, I have learnt to read in my head and have to tell my teacher what have I been learning about in my book. Maths has always been my favourite subject.

It has always been a fun way to do work, But not like the other school who don't have the Opportunity to learn with Chromebook! I also represented my class at the Sylvia park Hoyts Cinema, which was super fun.

Next year for 2016, I would love to become an Ambassador, It will give chances to show all my learning to everyone. I hope you will like it - it was lots of fun to make. Thanks for watching my movie.

Athletics day

Would you like to be in the best house colour for Athletics? Well when you hear about the best house colour team then you might like to be in it. So here is the best team, green which is Hokule’a! Last Friday we had our annual Athletics on the 13th of November 2015. Hokule’a is the best because we win every event and win every year.

When I woke up in the morning i saw the sunshine, so that was when i knew that it was time for me to get my green T - shirt. So when i got my to school i felt really excited for athletics. When the first bell rang i quickly rushed to the toilets to get changed. I was also putting green sellotape on my cheeks, then i was getting ready to line up outside the classroom to walk to the courts with our homeclass. When we got to the court the girls had to sit down, where it said year 5 girls. So i sat down.

My favourite event was Shot put. There was two side one side was interzone and the other side was just having fun but you don’t get to go interzone. I trying really had to come 1st or 2nd or 3rd but i didn't come anything, but at least i tried. My friend Faioso she came 1st and she was in Hokule'a, and my other friend came 2nd but she wasn’t in my team, she was in Te Aurere. And my other friend Ata she came 3rd, she was in Hokule'a as well.

Furthermore My other favourite event was Tug of war and we had to go into our house teams. The first two teams that played first was Hinemoana and Te Aurere and the winner was Te Aurere. But sadly Hinemoana lost against Te Aurere. Evenmore it was time for Hikianalia and Hokule'a, Hokule'a won. Hinemoana and Hikianalia played and the winner was Hikianalia. Last but not least it was Hokule'a and Te Aurere played and the winner was Hokule'a. So the winner for all the games was Hokule'a!

I felt really happy because that was an amazing day, it was really fun.

Immersion Assembly

When I woke up I was so excited to go back to school. Well On Monday I saw my teacher Mr Baxendine and Miss Muliaumasealii dressed in costumes. I ask my friends what was happening? When I saw all the teachers dressed in costumes.

After the second bell rang room 9 & 10 were getting ready to walk to the hall. When we were walking to the hall I could already see classes sitting down, ready to listen to our Principal Mr Burt. When everybody closed their eyes Mr Burt did our karakia.

Furthermore It was time for team 1’s item. The year 1’s item was about the zoo. They also did a karaoke, so they picked some people to sing. The song that they were singing to was Roar by Katy Perry. The winner was mariyka and her prize was going to the zoo with team 1. Mariyka was so happy that she could go to the zoo with team 1.

I felt really excited that our topic is about saviours.

Welcome to my blog my name is Samoa. I am 9 years old, and I am a student at Pt England School. I’m in  Room 9 and 10. I am also in year 5. My teachers are Mr baxendine, Mrs Jacobsen and on Fridays we have Ms Mackinlay. My favourite sports are netball, rugby, cricket, softball and ripper rugby. I am the youngest in my family, and my favorite subjects are Reading, Writing and Maths.

The bull chase

1. On a cloudy windy day the man thought that he should go swimming he was calm at first but well he was fishing he thought he would catch a very big fish but out came a alligator out of nowhere and the alligator was acting dangerous and tried to attack the man, the man felt scared but also suprised. THE END

2. One stormy day a man wanted to go fishing but then he heard a noise he looked back and it was a gigantic bull he leaped into the water and the man tried to run and jump out of the boat but the bull was attacking him. THE END

Samoa's Recount Rubric

On monday the 7th of september we had our school cross country. It 

was at our school feld. It happened after lunch time at 1:00 o'clock pm.

Before we started our cross country our principal Mr Burt did a prayer for us, and then our sport teacher, Miss Vaafusuaga. Miss vaafusuaga told us who is running first and who is running last. She also told us that champions never give up.

 Furthermore the cross country began, and the year 1 boys ran first. There were very good, A boy named Israel came first out of the year 1’s. Then It went to the year 1 girls,2,3 and 4’s run, It was nearly time for the year 5 boys turn, but after they ran it wasn't the year 5 girls after it was usually different when it got to the year 5 girls. So it went the year 7 boys then the 5 girls, then the year 7 girls then the year 8 boys, and then It went to the year 6 girls, and the last one was the year 8 girls.

We had house colour which was called green, yellow, red and blue, the colour I’m on is green. we had teachers that was wearing their house colour. when you finish from running you get a drink.

After I ran I felt really happy that I ran because It is a good exercise.

Russian Man Blasts off to Space

Byline: Wednesday 17th June 2015 or 17/06/15

A spaceman bravely walk out into the icy milkyway. His mission is to find weapons to fight with the aliens. So the Russian spaceman went to China, then he visited Auckland, his last place was Russia and he searched and searched and he finally saw a grey metal box.

He was scared to grab a stick, so he went closer and closer. Then when he looked in the Grey Metal box he saw a machine gun and bullets. So he went to Outer Space again. There were lots and lots of Aliens. Then he shot all of the them. Furthermore, He then went to Australia and he walked to see his manager and the Russian man said to him “ I did it boss. “ the boss said “ did what” so then the Russian man said” We will kill the aliens together. So the boss was happy and proud, that the boss gave him a new car. So the people that live in Australia was safe.

Then the boss “said do you want to have dinner with him, and he “said yes. So they went to a restaurant in australia, and it is called Ochre, it is very nice. They ate lot and lot of stuff they. The End.

Mrs Jacobsen is a very good teacher She is teaching for the year 5 Student, We will miss her when she goes off to have her baby.

Mr Barks is so tall that no one can even high five him, he is so funny he can make jokes.  

Mrs Garden is so serious at writing, she has beautiful curly hair, she has a nice smile.

Nepal Earthquake

Earthquake causes huge damage in Nepal  

Guess what happened in Nepal? Well in Nepal there was a huge Earthquake and lots of people died. It happened  on the 25th of april at 11:56:26. it is centered outside the capital Kathmandu. More than 5,000 people died. The Earthquake happened on anzac day. A little tiny baby got rescued and the baby was only 5 months old. The baby got found under the bricks for 22 hours. It was Healthy but it was hungry after he found. All houses and building was crushed down after the earthquake.

People are still suffering. It was a 7.9 magnitude.  There was more than 18,000 people that was injured.There was a new Earthquake in Nepal and it killed dozens of people and spread and lot of fear in Nepal. At least 37 people were killed in the quake and more than 1100 were injured.
