Mass Shooting response from our Prime Minister.

Image result for jacinda ardern hugging muslim ladyOn the 15th of march a massive shooting took place in New Zealand, Christchurch. It happened such unexpectedly that it has become one of the popular articles around the world. It was such a tragedy that even our prime minister was in shock. To show our respect people would go and leave flowers, to show that they are thinking of those who have lost their loved ones. Our prime minister even visited the mosque to show her respect. Jacinda Ardern even wore a Hijab as part the Muslim religion, They even praised her. Our prime minister Jacinda Ardern has responded to this by making a new law, to keep the Muslim and everyone else safe. There was a photo of our prime minister hugging one of the lady at the mosque, and it has become one of the popular photo's going on around the world. They had also thought of making her one of the most popular front page on a magazine. From my perspective throughout my time here in New Zealand I have never seen a prime minister like Jacinda ,to go out of her busy life to show her respect. And also how she truly cares about this situation that had happened two weeks ago. She has become an idol to other people from doing this.

Empathy - what does empathy mean?

Image result for empathyFor me empathy means to be able to understand and also care about how someone else feels. Personally I think empathy means to put yourself in there shoe, that way you could understand the kind of situation they might experienced. If I was to show empathy towards my classmates or anyone around me, I would ask them if they are alright.  That way they would know that you truly care about their feelings and the situation they are in right now.  Empathy is important because it can help people understand why in that kind of situation.  They could help you by making sure your alright, or even hang out with you so know that your not alone.  You could also show your gratitude when they have opened up.  Many people struggle to open up to people, because they overthink things like "could I trust you".  Show that your interested, that way when they going through a difficult time you could connect with them by asking them if they need anything, or if they will be alright.

Climate Change - Summarie

Image 1. Maritina Nakekea, 19, is a resident of Kiribati, a country made up of 33 coral atolls located halfway between Australia and Hawaii. Today Kiribati's existence is threatened by climate change. Photo: Itinnaibo Aukitino/iGeneration YouthFrom reading this article I have learnt that when you are from a place that is dangerous, people tend to move to other countries due to their homes being damaged by the water rising.  They also heard good things about another country and decides to move with their families to live in a better place and a better future.  People who are residents of their countries have rights to do anything in that country, and move to another country after losing their homes. There are many families who are threatened by their government to leave the country that they migrated from immediately. Most cultures are ethnocentric judging from this article I think we have different behaviours, customs and religion.

Science Experiance

We had the opportunity to try out an experience using, backing soda, food colouring and vinegar.  It was a little experience showing what it would look like if we add baking soda into a vinegar.  In my group was Sabrina, Myztique, Jonathan and Walter.  It was a great experience, especially when it's our first experience in science.  I felt like everyone in my group enjoyed our experience, here is a snippet of how our experience turned out.
