Welcome back to term 4!!

It’s the start of the term it’s time to find out what our study will be.  As usual our teachers always have something in stored for us. It’s either with a movie or even an act.  Let me explain to you in the next 3 paragraphs which items I enjoyed the most.

This terms immersion assembly has everyone pumped up about our focus for the term.  I was so excited to see what every team had to present. Our main focus is all about art, Te Wa Toi.  At Pt England School we love having immersion assemblies, because we love to see what teachers have to act out for us to focus on for the term.  It’s a way to start our term!

Every team was great but I have to say that team 1 smashed it!  At first most of the audience were getting a bit confused of what their doing.  When it got to about half way we were seeing different types of painting shown by the teachers of team 1.  As I was looking at what every teacher had to paint, at first I thought they were drawing different types of mountains, But it getting to the end.  They brought the paintings together, and that’s when we all realised they were painting a lion. From my point of view I thought it looked a bit weird, but at the same time it looked pretty interesting.

The team that I understood more about was my own team, team 5.  Our focus was how do artists express meaning through their art? The reason to why I understood this team is because if I were a artist myself, how would I express my feelings through art? Well that’s what our teachers were demonstrating on stage.  They all had five to three minutes to paint their work, to show how they were feeling. At the end they had to explain what their story behind their painting.

Last but not least the item I really enjoyed watching was team 4.  The team 4 teachers had two special guess up the stage, Mr Wiseman and Mr Moran.  Team 4’s item was a competition to see who could draw the best. As the timer started game faces were on for the team 4 teachers.  It was getting closer to the end, and all the teachers were completing their final design.

There you have it - my 3 paragraphs explaining what show I enjoyed the most and what I understood the most about their focus for the term.

Immersion Assembly

Our theme for this term is Musical Madness, but I didn’t know what that meant. But as I sat down on the chair I knew that I was ready to start term 3. I was excited to see what every team was going to focus on for this term. And so we started our immersion assembly, each team had to either make a movie or do a play to show what their team will be focusing on for this term.

Most Informative?

Every team gave us informations about what they are focusing on, but the Most Informative for me what Team 5 because They had more informations about what they will be focusing on for this term. Throughout the whole item they explained how they were feeling. Team 5’s focus was How do composers use music to evoke an emotional response in an audience.

Most Entertaining?

I reckon Team 3 was the most entertaining for me. Team 3 had caught my eyes because they had a conversations using songs to express how they feel about that person. They didn’t show them having a conversations but they also showed their emotions and how they felt. All the movies made me laugh but throughout the whole item Team 3 had caught my eyes, as I was watching the movie.

What do you want to find out more about?

I want to find out what songs make me feel happy, sad and also calm. By the end of the term I would like to express my feelings with the songs I listened to and why does it?

Here I come Term 2

Who is excited for Term 2, to begin? I will be talking to you readers about our Immersion assembly and, what our Term focus is for Term 2. The theme for term 2 is, Now that's thinking! Every team has a something they will need to focus for a Term. And we also make animated movie about our Term focus. As we all got to the hall, I was getting to pumped to see what Team 5's focus is for this term. As we all sat down, did the mihi and karakia. As Mr Burt was talking to us about technology, and talking to us about the old wireless and connections. Mr Burt was also talking to us about, what chrome book was invented and the first chrome book Pt England School was given. 

Furthermore, What I would like to achieve is too focus on my work and get better at finishing off my work. What I also like to achieve is too get better at playing netball. And the last thing, I would like to achieve for my goals are too Listen to the teachers introduction. Now that's thinking! Am I right guys! 

One of the old chrome book were, prod casting, Wireless connections, Samsung netbooks, then we upgraded to a, Acer C7, Acer C730, But their is other which I cannot remember. So Team 5 are learning about, How to build things between Pt England School.  Team 5, which is the year 7 & 8 block, are learning about how we could make our block tidier, by putting our bag on the selves.   

Immersion assembly

Kapow! Bang! Kapoof! Yes that’s right we are looking at comic art. Well team 4’s topic is about comic arts! If you are wondering what kind of comic’s I am talking about well it is Marvels and DC. The team 4 teachers were dressed up in superhero like, Team Captain America,Wondering women,Bat guy, Bear Baxendine and Amurter hero! When i sat down i was wondering what would be our topic for term 2. Well i was sitting down i was wondering why Mrs Nua was dressed in a weird costume. Furthermore we sat down and we started watching each teams movies. I was thinking what was our teachers up to now.

As i sat down, my friend’s Javan and Sabrina came and sat next to me. So then we sang the National Anthem, sat down to get ready to watch the team's movies. First was team 1. The movie was about what was their favourite thing. Which was pretty cool. It took ages for our team’s movie. Now on too team 4’s movie.

So then the movie had begin! Bear Baxendine was an evil Bear, that tried to escape with an chromebook, but actually the evil little Bear Baxendine took Bobby jon’s chromebook. The amateur heroes saw Bear Baxendine with bobby jon’s chromebook. But wait 2 amatuer heros spotted bear baxendine with Bobby jon’s chromebook. So then they both went to fight bear baxendine to get Bobby jon’s chromebook.

Moreover the Amatuer heroes were defeated and captured. Bear baxendine tied both of them to a pole. Then one amatuer hero cries “ you wont get away with this”. He replied back and said “Who will stop me”. One of them said “ THE TEACHER VENGERS. Meanwhile three heroes of the teacher vengers came to fight back to get back bobby jon’s chromebook. If you didn't know who they were well they were, Team leader America, Wondering women and bat guy. As they ran to defeat bear baxendine, Bat guy ran over to the 2 amatuer heroes and says “ i’ll get them you get bax. So then wondering women and team leader america replied and said “ On it. While they were running to defeat Bear Baxendine team leader america hits bear baxendine with his shield, POW, he hits bear baxendine so hard he was knocked out.

Bear baxendine went to jail. After that one amatuer hero said to bat guy” WOW bat guy your muscles. Later wondering women says “ Eh Em. So then they laugh and they go back home and sleep.
